Website Announcement:

World Quaker Day, Sunday, October 4, 2026

Sparta Quakers will mark World Quaker Day on Sunday, October 4 by focusing on peace during our one hour of silent worship (11:00-12:00) at the meetinghouse. Because this is the first Sunday of the month we will enjoy a potluck lunch afterwards. If you have been wondering about Quakers, or if you’ve been thinking of visiting sometime, this might be the perfect opportunity to do so!

The Quaker Peace Testimony is our oldest testimony and the one that still unites all branches of modern Friends. A Declaration of the Faith and Practice of the People Called Quakers 1660:

“We utterly deny all outward wars and strife and fightings with outward weapons, for any end, or under any pretence whatsoever.” – George Fox
